“The One Who has LESS, Gives THE MOST”
12:55 AM
Now I
believe in, “The One Who has LESS, Gives THE MOST”
So I was
having dinner alone at “Intersection Café”, since they have 50% off on Thursday
after 5 pm. Although it’s quite far, and today’s weather was.. pretty HOT, but I
just feel like wanted to give it a try!
As I was
eating my pasta, this one man came in and just greet me, “how are you?”, “oh, I
am good, thank you. how are you?”, “Good”. Then I continued eating.
Later
he came, hand me a juice.. “This is for you”.
I was in state of shock and surprise,
obviously. Like why would this old man give me juice?
“Oh,
it’s okay sir, it’s not necessary. You should have it.”
“oh
please, just take it, it’s for you.”
So I just
take it.
Then,
he passed by my table while holding a box of pizza and he said, “I hope you
have wonderful day”.
Since
I noticed he’s as well will be eating alone, I invited him to join me dinner. We
had conversation about this and that..
Later
that I find out.. He is a HOMELESS man. I assume his age is around 50 years
old.
Well,
actually I can tell from his appearance.
We had
very wonderful and insightful conversation. There are more about this man that I
wish I could tell, but seem not be able to do it here & now (since I am
pretty tired). How he can be from a Professor, to what he is now (but if anyone
ever interested to know, you can ask me).
But my
point here is,
I never
thought this could ever happen to me. Yes, I have seen a lot of “social
experiment” videos about how homeless people can be so generous despite them
having “less” than other people. But, this real life experience really opens up
my mind and make me realized that… these kind of people do exist. Even at the
end of our dinner, he offered to pay for my dinner, seriously?
I asked
him one thing, and he did not mind.. My question..
“How
do you survive?”
He
just give me one simple answer that left me speechless,
“do
you believed in God? If you believe in God, you should not worried about this
thing. because everything.. food, money, success, come from him.”
And it
had me thinking again,
“The
One Who has LESS, Gives THE MOST”
Period.
