Travelling to Deakin For the First Time

1:26 AM

27 October 2015

Apparently today is my third day here. So I went to my university for the first time, Deakin University, yes it is. I went there to get my student ID card as it is essential to get it as soon as possible. Since I come here alone, I’m pretty much clueless about how does the public transporation works here. Eventhough they provide an apps “Public Transport Victoria, PTV”. Last night, I was planning my route, on how can I get to Deakin, using the shortest and fastest route as it has few options.

Since yesterday I met Dila, a Malaysian who is also Deakin student. So I asked for whether she’s can accompany me or alteast, just tell me how to get there. She’s very nice and helpful. I kinda like to be friend her. She’s been residing in Melbourne with her mom for four years already. Yet she’s still cool and you know, not so brag about it.

She agreed to accompany me to Deakin, yay!

So how did I get there.

Basically, I went there by train and bus. It took around 1 hour.

From Malaysia Hall, I need to walk to Pharan Train station (Sandringham Routes), approximately 10 minutes walking. Then from Pharan, takin train which routes to Richmond or Flinders Street. Next, I change the train at Richmond station to Lilidale or Belgrave Routes. Either one, along the way, I stopped at Box Hill station. Box Hill is kind of a mall. So from Box Hill, I took bus (which I forgot the number), but it stated there to “Deakin University”.

 Then tadaa! I arrived!

Tomorrow, I’d like to try using different route, we will see how.
